New Business Card!

Just got my new cards that I designed and had printed by Sugar Paper. Doing something simple works really well with letterpress printing because the texture it creates adds an interesting element.

New Addressing Style

This is the first time I've used the lettering style from the Sugar Paper calendar for envelope addressing. When I did the lettering for the calendar, I had to draw the letters and build them up. Because the size of the writing on the envelope is so much smaller, I was able to use pointed pen calligraphy for the job without having to draw the letters.

Sugar Paper + Paperless Post

Sugar Paper, one of my best clients,  has created a lovely line of invitations for Paperless Post . Above are a couple of invites that incorporate my calligraphy. Here's the article featured in InStyle magazine!

Kraft Menu & Table Numbers

Layout and fonts designed by Sugar Paper, I used white gouache on the kraft paper. White on kraft is one of my favorites!

Coral & White Wedding

Seating envelopes white with coral ink and wedding signage coral with white ink. The font I copied is called Burgues script. White always pops nicely on color!

100 Layer Cake-let

I just received a request from a new client for calligraphy on her wedding envelopes. She found me through 100 Layer Cake-let wedding website and fell in love with the style shown. There's a new post today featuring the baby shower that Jamie threw for Chelsea, the owners of Sugar Paper . I was delighted to see my calligraphy as well as all of the beautiful photos from the shower. Jamie did an incredible job!

New Addressing Style

With the New York Stationery show coming up soon, Sugar Paper is doing a mailing to their clients to let them know what booth number to come visit. Chelsea asked me to do something "sassy". I had no idea what she meant, had not seen the mailer, but just went for something playful. She loved the lettering and I think it compliments the beautiful card they designed. Now I just need to come up with a name for this style!

Oh So Beautiful Paper

Calendar Calligraphy

I'm so excited to show you the lettering I did for Sugar Paper's new calendar! I love their choice to print in white on craft. Hope you like it too.

Wedding Invitation & Monogram

This invitation is another pretty one produced by Sugar Paper. The client had requested this style of calligraphy for their names and then later wanted to add a coordinating monogram. The bride, Rebecca, really wanted an interesting ampersand to help make their monogram unique. Using pointed pen, copperplate style, I was able to create something she was happy with. I always find it especially inspiring and exciting to design something totally new and customized for each invitation.

Pink & Black Wedding

Another beautifully designed invitation by Sugar Paper. For this one I was asked to provide the calligraphy for just the bride and groom's names and words to highlight the other two pieces. We also used just the initials of the couple for the return address and response envelope. I like the simplicity of this invitation suite and love the addition of the pink letterpress on the borders.

A new lettering design I did for Sugar Paper. I love that they used white letterpress on the kraft paper, plus who could resist the cute lining. Happy Valentine's Day to you!

New Year's Wedding

I really like how this invitation came out! Designed by Sugar Paper , I think it has just the right amount of playfulness and sparkle to set the mood for a Year's Eve wedding celebration. The foil stamped dots remind me of confetti. I was excited to have the opportunity to do a new, more contemporary variation of copperplate calligraphy.
