Holiday Cards
This is one of the cards I created for a Flourish Forum envelope exchange. It's an exchange with calligraphers from around the world. Can't wait to see what I receive!

Private Dinner Menu
I was asked recently to hand letter 15 menus for a private dinner in San Francisco. Navy on white is always a great classic, clean combination.

Box Addressing
I recently worked on an addressing job for a client of Bliss and Bone, a company designing custom stationery and invitations, providing graphic design for print and the web. This one was a challenge! The boxes were 6 x 9 x 1, white ink, two different styles, with the script (Monte Carlo Pro) extra large and all done on an angle. Thankfully they came out nice and the customer was happy with them.

Wedding Signage
There's definitely a trend lately to use chalkboards for wedding signage. In this case, the board was about 24 x 30 and my client requested I use gold. I knew I couldn't achieve a real gold color with a chalk marker. Luckily the bride and groom didn't want to use the chalkboard for anything else so I was able to use gold acrylic paint, which is permanent. I started with a paint pen. Then, in order to achieve the thicker areas of the letters, I painted them in with a brush. The other sign below is about 24 x 18. I sort of like the contrast of a casual chalkboard with the flourished gold lettering.

T-Shirt Lettering
K.C. from Beachdude,Inc. sent me this photo today of my lettering printed on the T-shirts he sells. It's always fun to see my lettering used in different ways.

Calendar Calligraphy
I'm so excited to show you the lettering I did for Sugar Paper's new calendar! I love their choice to print in white on craft. Hope you like it too.

Wedding Invitation & Monogram
This invitation is another pretty one produced by Sugar Paper. The client had requested this style of calligraphy for their names and then later wanted to add a coordinating monogram. The bride, Rebecca, really wanted an interesting ampersand to help make their monogram unique. Using pointed pen, copperplate style, I was able to create something she was happy with. I always find it especially inspiring and exciting to design something totally new and customized for each invitation.

Sugar Paper Holiday Mailer

I was asked to do this style of writing for the Sugar Paper holiday mailing this year. I've not really done a layout like this with the flourishes extending off the card. The "kindly deliver to" was pressed in white on the face of the envelope with the addressee below.I love the way it came out in letterpress!
