For several years now I've had the opportunity to work with Jessica Latham, the fabulous event manager at Vanity Fair. This year once again I calligraphed seating envelopes and place cards for their Academy Awards party. The place cards are actually booklets that contain the night's menu as well as all the nominees for the year. I had the pleasure of meeting Joan Allen who photographed the event. Joan provided me with the photos you see here. You can't see the calligraphy very well in the first photo, but I thought it was such a nice photo, I had to show you!

I am speechelss (believe me, THAT does NOT happen very often) what an honor!! I am so excited for you. On the other hand, your amazing work totally deserves to be at the Academy Awards. *mentally giving you a golden statue in honor of your incredible calligraphy"
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lettering and beautiful photos of the beautiful lettering! :)
ReplyDeleteOH WOW!!! What an honor!!! Congratulations, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting how we take for granted the little things sometimes. The delicate and beautiful place cards painstakingly rendered. I wonder if people noticed the fine penmanship? I hope so. I hope so! How are you dear Lisa?
