New Addressing Style
This is the first time I've used the lettering style from the Sugar Paper calendar for envelope addressing. When I did the lettering for the calendar, I had to draw the letters and build them up. Because the size of the writing on the envelope is so much smaller, I was able to use pointed pen calligraphy for the job without having to draw the letters.

Brush Lettering
I've always enjoyed using a brush for calligraphy. It's not the easiest tool to control, but it's fun. These are some name tags I did for Sugar Paper.

Wedding Signage & Monogram
I was hired by Samantha Scott Events to create this playful monogram for a bride and groom's wedding. I've included the black & white original since it's a little tough to see the foil stamping in the photo of the napkin.
Below are a couple of the chalkboard signs I made as well as the program cover. I've included the black and white lettering for the program cover as well since it's easier to see.

Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Every year I personalize menus for Vanity Fair's Academy Awards viewing party. This year it was at Spago. The photo on the right shows how the table setting looks with the menu and a small booklet they put together that contains all the Oscar nominees. Part of the job is to be on site before the event in case any last minute calligraphy is needed. It's always fun to go to the venue and see how pretty it comes together!

One of a Kind Card
Just a quickie house warming card I made for my friends Talia and Ryan. I cut the house out of heavy white card stock, did the spontaneous lettering and it was done. I wrote their names on the front of the red envelope in matching script with white gouache.

Logo T-shirts
I just had these T-shirts printed with a logo I designed for my friend and master piano tuner, Ben Gaffin. In the past I've used silkscreen, but these were digitally printed. I'm pleased with how they turned out and so was Ben!

Who Do You Think You Are?
I'm happy to share that I have been doing family trees in calligraphy for the television show Who Do You Think You Are?. Each episode traces the genealogy of a different celebrity with their participation. I love this show! It's really interesting, especially if the particular celebrity is one of your favorites. The show airs on TLC and the executive producer is Lisa Kudrow. I'm not allowed to divulge the celebrity names nor show you their personal family tree...you'll have to tune in to find out : )
